Oh, really?

Yes, really. Kirsty's boyfriend (and my good pal) Ryan Pollard will be arriving in Toronto tomorrow to come stay with us indefinatly. Are we going to be the 2008 equivilant of threes company? Yeah, probably. Welcome Mr. Pollard.

A look book.

I bought this Elle 2008 autumn and winter collection magazine at Chapters the other week and I thoroughly enjoy it. It’s filled with beautiful photos, collages, full designers collections and is a visual feast for the eyes. It’s a fantastic magazine to get inspiration from for outfits, design ideas, and anything else involving creativity. Here are few pictures of the magazine I took with my camera of photos, collages, and outfits I loved. I also altered the photos a tad because they didn’t turn out so well with my not so pro camera.

My shoe story thus far.

I havn't done to much ship-shoppin' since my move to Toronto but I have bought a few pairs of shoesies along the way. The black lace up boots and brown oxfords are from la vv boutique, grey sneaks are from some store on Younge, and black zipper booties are from Zara. I have to say shopping at the vv boutique in Toronto is quite different compared to in Winnipeg. In Winnipeg your usually kind of the only young, hip, kid looking for hidden treasures and maybe theres a few other treasure hunters around. However in Toronto I found that I was surrounded by a large amount of stylin' babes on the hunt for some true gems. It's neat. Well anyways my mom is coming to visit from the peg this weekend so the lack of shopping I'm experiencing will hopfully be changed...Hooray! Can't wait to see me mum.

Dancing with herself...

...is what Kirsty will be doing until we move into our own place! We were supposed to move into our place on Septmber 15 but there has been a bit of a delay due to some very precise craftsmenship from our landlord Paul. Paul is staining all of the hard wood floors and re-painting and such which will indeed be beautiful in the end but we want in Paul...IN! Doesn't he know how badly we want to put our new rolling racks to use?

Not setting a very good example now are we.

I'm currently watching SNL and I was informed that Dov Charney (founder of American Apparel) has just been sued, for the fifth time, for sexual harrasment. Surprise surprise. Anyways I thought I would do a little ode to good ol' Dov and post a few provacative American Apparel adds. However I do apologize that I could not find the closeup of an ass which I have to say is a personal favourite of mine. Anyways enjoy.

I just need some structure in my life.

Yeah you heard me. I need some structure in my life...via built up shoulders (and the occasional neckline). I would kill for one of those blazers. kill. Maybe I will try to create my own... water wings for shoulder pads?

(Blazers and jumpsuit by Maison Martin Margiela. Dress by Erdem)

I Wa-wa-wa-wa-wonder

CAUTION TORONTONIANS:
A summer full of karaoke-ing has left us "...a walking in the rain..." down the streets of the big city singing some of our favorite sing-a-longs over and over AND OVER again. We're left only to "Wonder" where we can continue on to spread our heavenly voices to those lucky enough.

*exclusively found in a karaoke joint near you!

I Forgot Something At Home

Toronto didn't come as a package deal. Unfortunately, these two gems weren't thrown in as an added bonus feature. We had to leave our beloved boyfriends behind and we miss them dearly. Each day we speak of how much we would love to be back in their arms. This photo of JasON and A-tease is a precise description of their relationship. I couldn't find one as suiting for Ry and I, as I look like an idiot in every photo while he looks handsome as always.
We miss you. xoxo

Merrymaking At My Place

Well, well, well. It's been a while...a long while... since I've posted. I've just moved to Toronto with my pal and confidant Kirsty Reid and thought I would give my blog another go. A new city, a new home, and a new beginning. Kirsty and I are currently living out of our suitcases but move into our new place on September 15. I feel so lucky to have been able to find this beautiful historic, quirky, house in the jungle of generic high rises. Were going to be living on the second floor of this old house which has hard wood floors 2 bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and bathroom. I'm so thankful we found this place because honestly we had been searching for so, so long and found absolutly nothing.

Ps Our street name is Woodycrest. Really? Really.
